How To Burn Fat Around Your Stomach by Ben Smith Burning Fat around your stomach can be one of the hardest things to do. Along with the buttocks and thighs it is one on the most difficult places to burn fat. There are many ways to go about burning fat around your stomach. You will need to be more conscious about regular exercise as well as eating foods that help promote fat loss. Since most people have trouble with what type of foods that burn fat around your stomach, we should start there. Foods That Help Burn Fat Around Your Stomach Eggs-Eggs usually get a bad rep because they raise your daily dietary cholesterol level. Don't be scared though, your dietary cholesterol has a very small effect on your blood cholesterol. Dietary fat is what raises blood cholesterol level. The fact is that eggs are high in protein, and it burns more calories for your body to have to digest protein than it does fat. Eggs are essential to burning fat around your stomach. They also contain Vitamin B12 which stimulates and promotes the burning of fat. If your still worried about cholesterol just remove the yoke or buy yoke-less eggs. Beans-Beans are great for protein fiber and iron. There are some beans that are good and of course some that are bad. The ones that are bad are usually because of the way they are cooked. The best beans include but are not limited too: Edamame/Soybeans Navy Beans Lima Beans Black Beans Kidney Beans White Beans Make sure you cook your beans thoroughly. Some beans take longer time to cook than others, and some you have to leave soaking over night. Edamame is the best because it contains 10 grams of Soy Protein for every serving and they cook in 3 minutes instead of several hours. The beans that are primarily bad for your are refried beans which contain a lot of saturated fat and baked beans which contain a lot of sugar. There is no sense adding to the problem while your trying to solve it. Refried beans can be healthy however if they are prepared properly, without hydrogenated oils. Low Fat Dairy-Most dairy products are high in protein. If you consume low fat and non-fat varieties of these dairy products you have a great way to build lean muscles, strong bones, and burn unwanted fat. Cottage Cheese is very high in protein as well and is available in low fat and non fat. Olive Oil-One of the fewer known fat burners of our day is olive oil. In fact not all fat burners are fat free. Monounsaturated fat has many health benefits and one ounce of olive oil has 85% of the daily value needed. Monounsaturated fat is no only good for losing weight but also keeping cholesterol down. These are just some of the foods that will help burn fat. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains, and lean cuts of meat are also great for curbing appetites and burning fat around your stomach. The Second Phase involves proper exercise. Dieting alone will help you lose initial weight, but if you want to burn the fat around hard to get areas like the stomach, you will need to add an exercise regime. Contrary to most belief, doing an endless amount of ab exercises is not going to burn fat around your stomach and give you a Bruce Lee six pack. While ab exercises will strengthen and harden your muscles, there will still be a layer of fat covering it up. The best exercises to burn fat around your stomach are definitely cardio workouts. Here are a couple of ideas to get you started. Jump Rope/Jumping Jacks- This is one of the best ways to burn fat and also the most effective. Most people are not aware that Jumping rope is three times more effective than running or jogging. This means 10 minutes of jumping rope is 30 minutes of jogging. Jumping rope is also a great upper body exercise and it serves to help straighten your spine. Jumping jacks are also very effective at burning fat as well as strengthening your calves. Running/Jogging-This is one of the easiest forms of exercise and requires no equipment except shoes. Running for a minimum of thirty minutes a day will boost your metabolism by 24 hours. You can run in place or you can run the street, using a treadmill works just as good too. Try running with leg weights if things get too easy. Hiking/Stepping-This is an often neglected form of fat burning. This exercise burns fat and tones/sculpts the thighs, hamstrings, and buttocks. You can find a local mountain to hike, or you can get a chair and do some stepping in your own home. Make sure the chair is sturdy and not too high. As you become better you will want to raise the height. You can also buy steppers at Wal-mart or any fitness store. Like I stated before Burning Fat Around your stomach can be very difficult. These are just a few tips but if your serious about burning fat in hard to reach areas than I recommend getting a Weight Loss guide that focuses specifically on burning fat. Many guides focus on building muscle, but if you want to burn fat around your stomach than your going to have to approach it differently. Not even taking diet pills will eliminate the hard to reach fat. About the Author Check out Strip That Fat if you need a good guide to help your burn fat.
